A Community Parish in the City

Confirmation is the Sacrament that completes Baptism; in it the gift of the Holy Spirit is bestowed upon us. Anyone who freely decides to live a life as God’s child and asks for God’s Spirit under the signs of the imposition of hands and anointing with Chrism receives the strength to witness to God’s love and deed. He/She is now full-fledged, responsible member of the Catholic Church. [1285-1314 CCC]

Youth of the parish who have been baptized, have celebrated their 1st Eucharist, and will be in the 8th through 12th grade in the fall are welcome to participate in the parish Confirmation Preparation program for youth.

Youth will participate in preparation sessions at Christ the King Parish on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 8:50am – 9:50am in the parish rectory and at Gesu Parish on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 3:00pm – 5:00pm (with other Vicariate youth) and in service projects and other special activities.

If you have any questions or concern please call the parish rectory on 313 532-1211.
